Contract/ Commercial furniture is manufactured to different, much more stringent regulation compared to residential furniture. It is made to withstand much more wear and tear. For example rub test on fabric of chairs must meet a minimum standard of 40 000 rubs and is fire rated to commercial standard. Table tops are finished in AC Lacquer, which is durable and lasts considerably longer than standard finishes used on residential furniture.
